Last 21st and 22nd of this month SOL DO PARAGUASSÓ FARM had the pleasure to visited by many important guests, such as, MR. SERGIO TRISTÃO, president, and MR. MARCELO NETTO, supervisor, of one of the biggest coffee exporters in Brazil, “TRISTÃO CIA DE COMÉRCIO EXTERIOR” and SILVIO LEITE of BSCA (Brazilian Special Coffees Association and Agribahia). With them, were MR. TATSUJI ONISHI and MR. SHINYA TANAKA, directors of Japanese enterprises SUNCAFÉ and ITOCHU CORPORATIONS, traditional importers of Brazilian coffee and also the TRISTÃO’S adviser, MR. JOSÉ AZEVEDO.

On June 14th, this year of 2003, SOL DO PARAGUASSÚ FARM has had the pleasure to receive the visit of Mr. Jorge Esteve, vice-president of ESTEVE S/A, one of the most noteworthy coffee exporters in Brazil, and two american C.O.s.: Mr. William Wilczec and Mr. Jon H. Stefenson.
Mr. Wilczec is the director of SARA LEE, one of the most important american enterprises with interest in Brazil, including in coffee production, and, Mr. Stefenson who works in da Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange - CSCE (New York – stock market) and is also the vice-president of Atlantic USA, great coffee importer in EEUU.
For Mr. Enrique Marquez Barros, Agrosol’s executive, this visit helped him in understanding and knowing better the tendencies of modern word-top coffee markets and also gave him tenacity to make improvements to the coffee producted at SOL DO PARAGUASSÚ FARM.
After looking at coffee plantations and offices departments at the farm, the visiting people has had the opportunity of seeing many interesting sites at Diamantina Highlands.
It was an exquisite night when they gathered together for dinner, and talking after super was very friendly and pleasant. Joining the group, have come Mr. Nilton Almeida and Mr. Claudionor Dutra Neto, consultants of coffee activity, and also Mr. Maurício Pacheco, maneger of ESTEVE in Vitoria
da Conquista. All of them very important people on wordwide coffee matter.

On the 7th and 8th of april the directors of Itochu Corporation and Tokyo Allied Coffee Roasters Co. Ltda., Mr. KEIZO WATANABE and YOICHI KAGEYAMA, visitied the Sol do Paraguassú farm and were accompanied by their hosts in Brasil - Mr. Ricardo Schneider and José azevedo from Tristão Cia. de Comércio Exterior.

On march 16 the directors of AGROSOL Luiz Vianna Neto e Enrique Marquez, as well as their staff had the pleasure and the honor of receiving in SOL DO PARAGUASSÚ FARM, Mr. Ernesto Illy, president of Illycaffè, an Italian Coffee roaster well known for its coffee quality and to which AGROSOL - SOL DO PARAGUASSÚ FARM supplies special coffee.
On his visit, Mr. Ernesto Illy was accompanied by Mrs. Anna Illy Belci, Mr. Licerlo Degrassi, Mr. Luigi Micheli and Mr. Alessandro Bucci, as well as Illycaffè’s Directors in Brazil - Mr. Nelson Carvalhaes, Mr. Aldir Alves Teixeira and Mr. Frederico Canepa.
During the visit these respected and well known personalities of the coffee world market could enjoy the natural beauty of the Diamantina Highlands and walk through the Arabic coffee bushes of SOL DO PARAGUASSÚ FARM in the beginning of harvest time. They also had the chance to visit the farm’s processing complex.
As for the visit of Illy caffè´s directors in Brazil, época Magazine, nº 253, 24/03/2003 comments on the quality of the coffee produced in Diamantina Highlands in Bahia: “Bahia can become a great coffee exporter. On his visit to Brazil, Mr. Ernesto Illy, world coffee specialists, said that coffe is to Diamantina Highlands the same way that wine is to the Loire Valley”.

SOL DO PARAGUASSU FARM hosted a huge group composed of coffee
importers, coffee roasters and distributors from all over the world. Most of them came to be part of the International jury of the 4th Brazilian High Quality Coffee Contest.

This select group, also composed of international media professionals and leaded by Silvio Leite(BSCA), visited Sol do Paraguassú Farm. The farm specializes in special coffee production and for this reason has received awards in important high quality coffee contests such as the CUP OF EXCELLENCE as well as the indication of Caravan Coffee (traditional japanese company which specializes in Brazilian coffee).

Our guests could confirm the beauty of Diamantina Highlands and also see the SOL DO PARAGUASSU's coffee bushes which produce, according to experts, an exclusive coffee with smooth and sweet taste.

In Sol do Paraguassu farmhouse, the group could see a spectacular sunset, chatting and drinking typical drinks made of tropical fruits.
